A CEO of a local stress management company says meditation on God’s Word helped her manage her health during the COVID-19 lockdowns. The ultimate health plan is always the result of hard work and perseverance.
Are you looking for the ultimate health care plan?
Outsmart Stress Founder and CEO Santuzza Wolff said the practice kept her grounded, despite all the chaos and confusion resulting from the virus. “In the last two years with everything going on around us, I said, okay, I have to go deeper into who I am in the image of the God who created me.”
By purposefully cultivating more time with God on a daily basis through meditation, Wolff successfully tapped into His supernatural power. “You go deeper into what God is telling you about your relationship with Him.”
According to Theologian J.I. Packer.
Meditation is the activity of calling to mind, and thinking over, and dwelling on, and applying to oneself, the various things that one knows about the works and ways and purposes and promises of God.
Theologian J.I. Packer
The benefits of meditation is mentioned throughout the bible, including Psalm 1:1-3.
1. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2. but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3
Wolff said for her, the symbolism of the tree in Psalm 1 is particularly useful in applying the practice to daily life.
We read about trees, and how they grow, and the fruits…we have that wonderful imagery about all these beautiful things that God has put in our lives, to be able to meditate.

Digging deep into the soul.
While she started the practice as a teenager, Wolff said she’s “still digging” and “more branches are coming up…more leaves are growing.”
Digging deep into the soul usually not only produces great benefits, but in most cases, it is the only way to rid ourselves of everything that limits our growth. Just as a tree needs to penetrate the soil to obtain better nutrients, we must also allow ourselves to penetrate deeply our soul to heal.
we are here to help you, you don’t have to dig alone
To help her clients get started on meditation, Wolff recommends using sticky notes to help them stay on task. The “post-it” meditation is something she ascribes to daily.
Wolff starts by “prayerfully going into her mind.” Often times, God will give her a word, like “bird” or “beauty,” and she will dig into the scriptures to find verses that resonate with the theme He has given her.
She then writes the words and verses on stickies and places them around her house to help her focus her thoughts on the word(s) He’s given her.
Wolff said meditating on God’s Word also helps her clients “renew” their mind by replacing lies with the truth. She said the resulting mindset brings healing to her clients because it replaces their old thinking patterns with new Godly thinking patterns.
The mindful practice opens up Wolff’s mind to “a world of possibilities.” She finds the resulting contemplation reveals mysteries and “who doesn’t like mysteries?”
While media hype around COVID-19 had many fear for their security and safety, Wolff said meditation helped her realize that God already provides “the best health care plan.”
“He already paid for your health plan with the life of His son…by His stripes, you are healed. So the last two years, I checked my health against what the Word of God says.”
“The Word promises you complete optimum health. And His plan is much more secure and much safer than the world’s.”
